About The Event

The Centre Soccer Association graciously invited Nets4Nets to partner with them for the Penn State University 11 V 100 event in 2013. Eleven of the Men’s Penn State University soccer players take on 100 kids from local youth soccer teams in a soccer match during the halftime of a Penn State University Women’s soccer game. Attendants of the game are given informational pamphlets; which provide descriptions in detail of the cause the campers have chosen, what they can do to help, and information on where to donate to help the cause. We are currently in the process of spreading the 11 V 100 event to universities nationwide.

The main benefit of the 11 V 100 is the opportunity to spread information about the cause to a large audience. However, the 11 V 100 also directly benefits the University as the local youth and university soccer players get involved in the event.  Previous events have drawn large crowds and increased attendance for university soccer matches due to the popularity of this event. 11 V 100 provides a great platform for university athletes and local children to have a positive interaction with each other, while also supporting a great cause. All of this has helped to form stronger bonds between university soccer teams and the local community. The event is incredibly fun to play in and even more fun to watch!
